I recently overheard a conversation between two parents at the training center. One was talking about their daughter, a fantastic slalom skier, who was so burned out from training and travel that she became completely overwhelmed by a mandatory online final. The parent recounted the girl's exhausted plea: "I just need someone to magically do my online exam for me; I can't focus on both the textbook and the gates right now." It was a sobering moment that highlighted how the pressure of virtual academics can become a heavier weight than any physical challenge on the mountain, and it makes you realize how vital it is for young athletes to find a genuine, non-stressful way to balance these two demanding worlds.
